WHY I DON’T WORK FOR FREE. Beyonce wasn’t built overnight and neither is a business. But, when starting out should you work for free? Being an entrepreneur taught me a lot. 00:00:00 it’s loud in here because we got the TV on and we have the AC on and it’s pouring down rain in my RV but here’s a sneak peek at my RV live and we’re coming in here to the garage where it’s quiet so we can record but check this cool table out I got so my blog and Brandy table is invting calls it oh ow but yeah this is where we’re hanging out and sitting while we’re recording so V day two back at you today is day two of V which means Vlog every day in August or April but anyways we make a video every

00:01:17 looks like came back edited my video and try to get that launched from yesterday I had a business call and we did our laundry we took our laundry to a laundry mat which is what we normally do but you can kind of see they just fold everything for us and put it back up so we really don’t have to do anything kind of nice that they do the laundry for us and it costs us about $20 to do the laundry and that was I don’t know probably about a week and a half two weeks worth of clothes and maybe two or three towels they charge

00:02:16 more for blankets but we just try to find a wash and fold to do our laundry at you can do laundry at the RV parks or go find places to do it yourself but I don’t want to sit there and wait and it’s just cheaper that these people have all the soap and they do everything for you I mean 20 bucks for me and mington to get our clothes washed was super cheap so something to think about is taking your laundry and dropping it off to get it done so something and then they even hung it up I thought this was nice they hung up

00:02:50 some of them so we went to the Lost sock laundry mat in rockage for Florida rockage for it’s over here on Space Coast so it was near the RV Resort but it’s kind of loud up here the TV’s on it’s raining in here and I just wanted to tell you about what we did and how we did our laundry because some people ask me that so there’s your answer laundry we have to drop off packages because we do run businesses while we’re on the road so if we have to mail something we usually have to go to the post office or

00:03:22 FedEx or UPS at some point during the day every single day Monday through Friday okay so we had to pick up some packages from Amazon because this weird Space Ghost place is not open on the weekends which is strange to me like why is the office not open on the weekends at Space Coast on your uh RV Resort so it’s kind of weird but whatever so they wouldn’t leave these packages so we had to go pick them up in the smart cart and the only way we could get them is that we have to put the top down so when you wonder if we

00:05:21 yourself or hire a designer speaking of what I’ve been contacted by tons of people so I put this video out about how to make a website and using godaddy’s platform and I’ve been contacted by Major other competitors and the like that asked me to create content for them and I’ve done this in the past but some of them just they just work me like really hard and wanted a lot of value for no money so I mean they paid me and it was okay to work with some of them but the beauty of making these videos is

00:05:55 I can do it for myself and I can create my own courses and my own content to sell not just other other people’s because a lot of times when I’m doing other people’s content I’m doing affiliate marketing or something like that and if you’ve kind of wanted to get started on that that’s part of turning your blog or blog into a business is figuring out how you’re going to make income from it are you going to be selling your own products and services are you selling someone else’s products and services and if you are selling

00:06:23 their products and services how are you getting paid off of them so for me some people pay me to make videos about their products or give tutorials on their products or I’ve done affiliate marketing but somebody hit me up yesterday or the day before and they found this video that I made about websites which I made one a while back but I just made a new one but I’ll put links to that below this video so you can check out what I’m talking about but somebody hit me up and said hey I want you to make a video just like this one

00:06:52 that I found but I want you to make it for our company and I wrote them back and I was like hey I’m listening what did you have in mind and I I’m just not even joking when I say they literally wrote me back and they said well we were just thinking you could make the video for free and if anybody buys our product after they watch the video that you make and put out on your content and distribute to all of your people then you can get paid off of it I was thinking so I’m telling people to go to your website and your stuff and we hope

00:07:25 that they click my affiliate link or use my coupon code maybe they will maybe they won’t but you still have a free video out there that I spent all of my time one learning your platform two making the video three editing the video then seing it putting it out to all of my people I mean are you serious are you serious I get really strange requests so if you want me to make a video that’s great I probably would make you a video but come at me the right way you know come at me right um I don’t work for

00:08:25 we’ve spent all this money on social media and marketing and all the things that we’ve done have failed we want to get our product on Amazon and list it and I was like okay well I can help you do all that but are you going to pay me or how did you want to work on this and they said well we were hoping you can just go ahead and sell the product for us in advance and then we’ll pay you later and I was thinking that’s not how it works either they said well you know we kind of ran out of funds because we

00:08:49 use these other companies and they screwed us and I was thinking well that’s your fault not mine I don’t know you got to pay to play people you got to pay to play you know I started making videos for free and then people started asking me to make videos for them and not just videos I started coaching people on their videos but also coaching people on social media marketing and email marketing and creating their website so it’s a much bigger process and it’s almost insulting to have people waste my time it’s almost like stealing
