00:00:01 Hey, it’s Brandi of blogginbrandi.com. In this video, I’m going to show you how to create your own logos and what it should include to best represent your brand so you can build trust with your customers and be easily identified across all major platforms. Be sure to watch until the end so you can get my one hour startup checklist to help you set up the rest of your business. Let’s get started. What your logo should include? It should have a uniform font. You can check out dafont.com. Look at certain typography.
00:00:32 I would suggest using one that’s unique to your brand that you can start using in all of your creatives that you’re using in your graphics, in your blog post, on your website. You want to have a unique look and feel across all platforms so think about that whenever you’re creating your logo. You also want to think about the color, the colors of marketing like the color blue. It brings a sense of calm, and peace, and trust to people, so I have the color blue, bluish green but blue in my logo. Another thing you want to make sure is that you get a copy of your logo or that it’s able
00:01:05 to be used in black and white. You want to have this for print and sometimes when you’re using other online mediums or sharing your logo with people, they need it in that form, so I would suggest getting something that’s easy to see if it’s in color and then also easy to transform to black and white. You also want to make sure that your logo is easy to read. If it’s a real pretty font, that might be pretty to you but if nobody can read your logo and your business, it defeats the purpose of having identity to your brand.
00:01:34 When you’re creating your logo, thing long-term. You want to make sure it’s something that can be transformed as your business grows. Last, make sure that your logo is visually appealing. Your icon, your graphics, you want them to represent your business, your products and service or brand in a positive way and you want it to be so identifiable that when people see it, they know that’s you. Now, you’re ready to create your logo. There’s tons of free resources out there. You can do this yourself for free, five or 10 minutes.
00:02:05 It’s so easy to do. I use canva.com, Shopify, and Squarespace. Don’t worry about paying a designer and spending a bunch of money. You can always change your logo later. That’s why I said make sure it’s something that you can grow into. I love these and I’ve used them to create logos for several of my businesses and projects and for our clients in the past. They’re easy to use. They’re user-friendly and they give you a variety of ways that you download your logo to be able to use it in print form or on online mediums.
00:02:35 Now, you know how to create your own logo for your business so you can start building trust and customers can start easily identifying you, but do you know how to set up the rest of your business?
