When I was preparing to quit my 9–5 job at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, I stumbled upon this book. I had all the degrees, licenses, and a “career path” everyone told me to follow — but reading this book gave me the push I needed to leave it all behind. I literally wrote notes all over the pages, highlighting every tip I wanted to implement.

I wanna give you a quick review of the Four Hour Work Week by Tim Ferriss and why you need to go pick this book up. It will change your life. Not kidding. I remember when I was getting ready to quit my job and I was reading this book, and this book caused me to quit my job, my nine to five job working at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, my finance job, my career that I got all these degrees and licenses in.
I read this book and then. I quit my job. I told my, boss peace out. So I actually made a video about how I quit my job and, my resignation letter. But honestly, this book, you can see I have so many notes in it. I literally write notes in this book. And Tim Ferriss is a really cool guy to follow.
You can’t see that picture right there. He’s, he’s interesting. He’s really interesting. But think digital nomad entrepreneur, someone that wants to get outside of the nine to five if you want to work from home or while you roam. This is about creating like a nomadic lifestyle and a business, or it doesn’t even have to be a business, but just something that you can do on your own.
And not have to have a boss or someone to be above you. So it really teaches you how to start by turning the job that you have into more of a remote job. Something you can do from anywhere, like little tips and tricks that you can do with your boss. And then how to start creating, your own income streams and different ideas.
I can’t remember if somebody recommended it to me or how I ended up stumbling upon this book, but this book is so good I have this in the hard copy, and then I also have this in the ebook copy on my phone, and I have lent this hard copy out. I don’t know how many times, and nobody returns this book to me.
They take my book and they don’t return it to me. So if that’s you, just so you know, I haven’t forgotten. So. I have been like, oh my God, you need to read this book. It’ll change your life. And I thought people might give it back to me and they never gave it back to me. This book is the Four Hour Work Week by Tim Ferriss.
I love this book, and if anyone ever comes to me and they’re like, oh, you know, I, I really would love to do what you do, or be a digital nomad or a blogger, or work from home while I roam. What, what should I do? I would be like read this book. It’ll change your life. This book was really the, the number one thing that caused me to quit my job.
I would probably have to honestly say that. What I like about this book is it gives you not just the book, but if you go online, there’s all these tools and resources that come with the book. And he gives you like the website in here to go to. Tim Ferriss has a whole blog, but it gives you all the tools and resources that he mentions in the book.
So if he tells you to use Something in the book. He actually gives you a link to it on the website so you can go find that. So that’s one thing I really, really love about the book. I would try to think about anything I don’t like about the book is the fact that everybody keeps my book. I know he’s updated the book and so if you get like an older copy of the book, I’ve gotten it on Amazon and then I’ve also gotten it at, thrift books.
I’ll buy it used, it just depends ’cause I like to write all in it so it’s not like I care about it being new.
