ICYMI… I started a reselling blog! If you’ve been following my journey for a while, you know that I made a huge leap when I left my corporate job to pursue my passion for entrepreneurship. But what you may not know is that reselling was the thing that made it all possible (aka Retail Arbitrage, Flipping, Thrifting, etc…)
It all started when I realized I could make money by flipping things I no longer needed—and that was the game-changer. So when people ask me the FASTEST and EASIEST way to make money online, my answer is to learn how to start an online reselling business! The freedom I gained from being a reseller helped me quit my job and build a reselling business around the things I truly love. Now, I want to share this knowledge with YOU!

How I Got Started Reselling = It Changed My Life
Before I started reselling, I was like many others: stuck in a corporate job I didn’t love, constantly stressed, and unsure of how to break free from the 9-to-5 grind. But one day, I discovered the power of reselling—turning my unused or unwanted items into cash.
I started small, flipping things like old electronics, clothes, and furniture. As I honed my skills, I realized there was an entire world of people doing the same thing—and making real money doing it.
In just a few months, I was able to build up enough income from reselling to quit my job and work for myself full-time. From there, it only grew. Reselling led me to learn about online selling platforms, marketing strategies, and ultimately, building a business that was flexible, fulfilling, and rewarding.

If you didn’t know, when I got started, before I started anything, I actually started out with my reselling blog, or I didn’t have a blog at the time. I actually didn’t even have a website when I started out reselling.
I had no social media, no blog, no website, nothing, no email lists.
All I had was an Amazon and eBay account. I quit my job with just those things, which I talked about in a prior post about quitting my job. I have a checklist of all the things I did to quit my job…
But in order to make money so I could quit my job, I started failing at one thing after another until I figured out what worked for me, and what worked for me is something that I can always fall back on is reselling.
Ambay Exchange is my reselling blog where I share all about my reselling, tips, tricks, blogs, resources, etc… and so you can head over to Ambay Exchange and check out my blogs.
I talk all about selling on eBay and things that I get at Goodwill.
You can subscribe to my email list, and you can even follow @AmbayExchange on social media as well.
But I started out flipping things at thrift stores and things that I already had around the house, and gifts that people gave me. I just learned how to make money online from things that I already had, and I talk about turning your clutter and trash into cash. It’s called reselling, flipping, retail arbitrage.
If you’ve never heard of reselling, you’re essentially taking things that you’ve gotten at a lower price or things that you have and you’re selling them at a higher price to make money online, offline, anywhere you can find!
I’ve done this at garage sales. I’ve done most of this online, but I’ve done a lot of it from my phone. I’ve done it from my computer, but I really like to do all of it online.
I talk all about how you can make money reselling, whether it wanna be a full-time thing for you or a side hustle. It started out as a side hustle for me, and then it turned into a full-time career! (Now, it’s back to a side hustle) — but reselling allowed me to quit my job and do all of the other things I wanted to do.
I was able to start a business, start my blogs, and become Blogging Brandi, so I wouldn’t have become a blogger had I never started reselling!
I was going on my breaks at lunch, after work, and learning how to sell.
I learned the art of how to sell, and I knew that if I knew how to sell, I knew how to sell anything at this point. And so it really came from me starting to resell and then figuring out, oh, I need a website. And oh, having an email list would be good. And oh, maybe. Promoting these things on social media would be a good idea.
