If you need a little entrepreneurial motivation for starting a blog, (or maybe you’d rather start a vlog) this is for you! This is day two of my Entrepreneurship journey! I decided to start recording my entrepreneurial journey building my digital nomadic empire after watching a motivational speech by Gary Vee. I am learning everything about building my business, Starting A Blog, Start A Vlog, etc… from the ground up and improving daily.

My Entrepreneurial Journey Day 2

Today was my second attempt at making a video with Pocket Video aka Video Pocket Maker? Either way, this is my vlog number two of becoming an entrepreneur. I wanted to start this series because I watched something that Gary Vee put on his website or YouTube channel saying that he wished that he would have documented his entrepreneurial journey along the way. So I wanted to make sure that I was doing that and helping inspire you!

I figured I would just try to make these videos hopefully daily. If I don’t, you can email me, or contact me at www.BloggingBrandi.Com and let me know that you enjoy them so I know to keep making them.

But I figured now, while nobody’s watching, is the best time to start making these documentaries because one day, people will look back and say, “Wow, how did you get here? What are all the things that you did?” — Thinking that these blogs and videos would be some great memories to make, and put out there for people who are trying to learn how to do this on their own too.

My Business Woes TODAY

Some of the things that I’m going through right now, obviously with the business, is making sure that my website is up and running. Some business tips I’d definitely give you is make sure that you check your wesbite from a tablet side, from a mobile side, even though if it says that it’s working, all your links, all your little menus, make sure all that stuff’s working. Check it from your phone, ask your friends to check it from their phone.

That’s something else I learned. Things that I thought were all set up and running we not! So always check that. I would say make it a once a week or once a month task depending on what it is and how important it is. I’ve seen people that don’t even realize their email forms aren’t working for the longest time! Make sure you check those things on a regular and that they’re coming in.

Working While Traveling vs Home

I’m just trying to be more engaging on Twitter and learn how to use Facebook a little bit more. I’m starting to learn how to use YouTube. I mean, I’m traveling around while I do all this. So I’m contacting people while I’m on the go.

That is a little hectic, but my house is for sale right now, so I don’t really have a home other than my RV. But I do have trips planned to meet, clients and some with just other colleagues. Some places I’m trying to visit, kind of on the go right now.

I’m really bad at looking in the camera, so, or looking people in the eye, so hopefully I’ll learn how to do that by maybe video 22 or 52. As I mentioned, I’m kind of new at this! So, hopefully I’m motivating. If not, tell me these videos suck in the comments or you can just stop watching them.

I’m just trying to, I guess, talk through everything. You know, when you add in everything as an entrepreneur, the other things you have to do, there’s a lot of time that gets invested. I set my alarm and I woke up at 3am this morning. I’m sitting here in Vegas, waking up at 3am. to talk to you. Go figure.

Focusing On The Right “Things”

I read this quote today, and it said that “you should think about How you spend your time and What you’re putting your time into and then if you start focusing on that then the right people will come into your life” — So, That’s kind of where I want to put my perspective.

Because I have a lot of toxic people around me right now and it gets draining when you have people around you that don’t understand how to be entrepreneur. Maybe they do and they just kind of forgot what it’s like to build it from the ground up. So, make sure that the people that you keep around you Are definitely uplifting!

Either way becoming an entrepreneur, digital nomad and building a business is really fun.

Whenever I meet people out they’re always like “oh, that’s so cool.” But it’s what’s weird is the people that are closest to me are always the ones saying “ehhh, how do you make money doing that or whatever? Maybe the people that love you the most are your own worst critics.

Maybe they’re jealous. Whatever the reason, all you can do is love your haters and embrace them. Just remember it’s not something with you. It’s something with them that they’re going through.

Plan, Set A Schedule, & Stick To It!

Make sure you set yourself to a schedule and try to stick to it. I’m trying to make these blogs and videos every day. I’m trying to make sure that I stay engaging on my social media. It can be really hard to keep up with all that.

I would encourage you to get a plan together for blogging and making videos. Making sure you do that. I Put a blog out there about How to Start a Business Overnight for FREE & Still Look Successful. Hopefully you’ll enjoy that.

Have Fun + Get Followers

But today, we’re doing some really fun stuff. We’re gonna go on a helicopter ride. I’ve never been in a helicopter before so that’s really cool. Probably oh my gosh in 30 minutes a limousine and helicopter are coming to pick us up. So check out my blog and my Facebook for that.

I’m also on Periscope, so I’m learning how to use Periscope. I’ve gotten a lot of engagement from tweeting about places that I’m traveling, so if you’re looking for that, I would definitely encourage you to start sharing the places that you’re going or are at. I’ve gotten some followers from that.

I met somebody down at the gym at the hotel that they were just kind of chit chatting and I ended up giving them my website. Discovered they’re a pilot. How funny is that? They are airline pilot. So, who knows? Hopefully they’ll love this. Maybe they’ll read this blog or watch this video.

What To Expect Next…

But anyways, like I said, I want to make this short. I’m hoping to make these videos better, longer, or not longer. More informative in less time. Hopefully this pocket video comes out better than the first episode because it sucked the first time and I don’t know what I’m doing, but I’m trying to get better.
