Here’s the video transcript:

When you’re trying to do something better with your life and other people aren’t how do you figure out how to deal with them?

For Instance: we have “this person” who’s been staying at our house. I get up early in the morning because I have to work with someone who’s not in this country and who’s in a completely different time zone. So, I’ve been working trying to get on their sleep schedule because we’re working on some projects together that have really been beneficial for several of the companies that I work with.

So me trying to make sacrifices for someone else and other people to make sure that things are going well. Then you have someone come into your home and essentially say “well I don’t really care what time you get up I’m going to stay up and do whatever I want and I’ll go to bed whenever I feel like it.”

That’s just not the attitude that I feel you should have if someone really cares about you and wants to make things happen for you and push you in a positive direction. Their attitude wouldn’t be “well I don’t care about you I’m going to do me.”

That is one thing I started to figure out in my entrepreneurial Journey is that the people who care about you, they’re willing to bend over backward and say “You know what even if that’s not what I want, I’m going to do it because I know that it will help you” — that’s the person you want behind you on your journey! If that’s not the kind of people that you have around you then you might want to think about who your friends are as well as your employees, co-workers, etc…

If those are not the people that you have on your team and that’s not the mindset that they have then it’s a very unhealthy mindset and it’s toxic for the entire team. Because that bleeds on to another person and then on to another person until it infects everyone!

If someone else wants to be toxic that’s fine but it shouldn’t impact the rest of the team. If you know that their actions are causing a negative action not just on themselves but on more than one person obviously they have their own interest at heart. So let’s be real…
