Oops! I Broke My Business and Website & Everything is in BETA now — These are the Lessons Learned While Rebuilding…

Oh No! I might have made a few Rookie Business Moves or should I say “Bad Business Moves” which led to a Broken Website and Broken Business, and Everything is in Beta Now… Oh yeah, and those little Entrepreneur Mistakes also impacted how I make money online, ya know, living the digital nomad lifestyle, working remotely as a nomadic entrepreneur!

But, after 8 years+ being a female digital nomad entrepreneur (with a lot of both GREAT and Dumb Business Ideas) I’ve learned a thing or two running multiple online business ideas, trying to work and travel as an RVing Entrepreneur (i.e. van life, stationary RV living, RV life) or hotels, airbnbs, etc…

One of the first Digital Nomad Mistakes I made as a female entrepreneur was trying to Learn how to RV while also learning how to make money and travel running a Beginner Online Business! So if you want to know how to become a digital nomad, then learn from this RV Entrepreneur all the good, bad, and ugly mistakes!

Here’s how to be a digital nomad without making the same rookie mistakes I did, but how I’m able to pivot instead of panicking in such a place!

Everything Is Broken — And That’s Okay (For Now)

I broke my business. I broke my brand. I broke my website.
And everything is in beta now.

I took some really bad advice, and I just feel like I should tell you — everything is broken now.

Quick Decisions & Rookie Mistakes

I’ve spent the last month — at least three weeks, but probably a month now, or what will be a month by the time it’s done (or longer, because it’s gonna take a while)… rebuilding my website aka my online business.

But yeah, I broke my business.

I made some dumb mistakes. Some of them were just quick decisions like, “Oh this is a great idea!” — and… it wasn’t.

Some of them were rookie moves. Rookie mistakes that I made with my business. Things I knew not to do — or should have known not to do.

But the best part about it is:
When you’ve been in business for eight years or more, you can rebuild something almost overnight that took you years to build.

I’m almost elated at the fact that I literally feel like the Holy Spirit is up inside of me and just gave these spirit fingers mad moves.

Who I Am (In Case We Haven’t Met)

If we haven’t officially met, I’m Blogging Brandi —
B-L-O-G-G-I-N-G B-R-A-N-D-I — Brandi.

But I used to be B-L-O-G-G-I-N Brandi. And I do have a whole bunch of content out there under that brand and that name. 🤦‍♀️

So yeah — I broke my website, and a couple of my businesses too.

I’ve Got Several Brands…

If you don’t know, I have several brands, several businesses:

  • RVersity is one of them.
  • Then there’s another one called BlaBoss — I probably haven’t really ever mentioned that, and you may or may not know about it.
  • Blogging Brandi was my personal brand.
  • And then I have Birdie Doghouse, which is a rescue that I have.

Some of these things I broke. And some of them were kind of in the making.

Everything, Everywhere… All Over the Place

I’ve got several more. I want to share those with you. I can’t wait to share them with you.

It’s just — I wasn’t sure how to share them at the time when I built them… or how to bring them all into one space or place for you to be like:

“Oh, I know what that is,”
or “I know what she’s talking about,”
or just have one central place to go.

Like, you have your YouTube channel. You have your social media.

I used to say your Amazon or eBay account or wherever you’re selling online or doing your thing in different places…

But like — where’s that central location?

Tech Talk & DIY Entrepreneur Life

I had these websites. And I broke them.

Part of it has to do with:
I needed some space — and I mean online space. That’s tech talk.

I’m super nerdy, if you don’t know that.
Like, super nerdy.

I love to build websites.
I’m not a website developer. I’m not a coder.

From Cosmetologist to Creator

I actually went to school to learn how to do hair and facials — massages (not full-body massages), but facials and nails and all the pretty stuff.

But I gave that up — I mean, I didn’t give it up. I’m still licensed. I’ve been licensed for 20 years. I’m a licensed cosmetologist.

And I went to school for finance. So yeah — I’m not a film degree major. I’m a finance major.

And I’m not a website developer.

These are just things I’ve learned by becoming an entrepreneur — which is why I always encourage people to become an entrepreneur and an RVer.

Not at the same time!
But honestly, becoming an entrepreneur and an RVer — they go hand in hand. Because you have to learn how to do everything yourself.

Why Everything’s Broken

So yeah — I had this business and this brand and… everything is broken.

Because like I said, I took some bad advice.
I had taken a website down. And it just — it was not a good decision.

So I’m having to rebuild all those links that were there before.

Some of these decisions were made over the years.
Some were made a month or two ago.

Rebuilding Starts Now

I really wanted a central place where you could come and see everything I’ve built over the years.

So — I’m putting a link to my new Blogging Brandi BLOG. You can go check it out.

About the Book(s)

I’ve put as much as I can (so far) about the book I wrote.

If you don’t know, I wrote a book.
It’s called Brand Like A Boss aka BLABoss

There are no page numbers in it. No page numbers.
There are pages — just… no numbers.

So if you’re like,

“Hey Brandi, on this page…”

I’d be like, “Oh… I don’t know what page that is.”

But if you were like,

“In this chapter…”

Again, just another one of those things I’ve got to go fix. Because things weren’t updated, or they didn’t update, or it just didn’t happen. That was only One Mistake I made during my journey to become an author, but thankfully, that was a fixable offense.

It’s Not a Meltdown — It’s a Reset

Please don’t think I’m coming unwired.
I even made a post called “Why It’s About to Get Weird” — because I didn’t want you to think that.

I just wanted to tell you —
I still have a whole bunch of courses and things I’ve made:

  • About RVing and RV life
  • One called RVing for Bosses
  • One about product development
  • One about retail arbitrage
  • How to start a YouTube channel
  • How to build an email list
  • How to brand yourself
  • How to use social media

There are so many things I’ve made content and courses and books about — and I just feel like I’ve never really had a place where I shared them all.

Or I did — but I broke it.

Everything In One Place (Finally)

So I wanted to reshare that with you.

Or if I don’t find it myself.

It’s probably going to take me a while — but I’ll fix what I can.
Some of it? Whatever. I’ll rebuild. New backlinks. (More tech talk.)

Why I Made This

I made this because if you come across a broken link and you’re like:

“Oh my God, that link is broken…”

I thought maybe I’d just put this video on that page so people know:

“Here’s why it’s broken.”

Big Changes, Beta Mode, and What’s Next

I broke my business.
I broke my website.
I’ve got to rebuild it.
Everything is in beta.

I’m moving some things around — not just for my website but for my life.
