Why I Started A NEW YouTube Channel?

This year I Started a NEW YouTube Channel! BUT, WHY? Today, I’m sitting down to explain just that “Why I started a YouTube channel” specifically my new BloggingBrandi one and How I Got Started On YouTube? So if you’ve ever wanted to learn how to be a digital nomad or How to become a YouTuber while living the digital nomad lifestyle and Why start a YouTube channel? Then this will be a little learning lesson for you about what to and what NOT to do when you’re trying to figure out how to make money and travel. – Especially if you want to make money online like me, working remotely, running an online business as a female digital nomad aka nomadic entrepreneur!

Get ready, buckle up, and grab a tissue. This is why I Started A NEW YouTube Channel BTS of my RV Life, how I work and travel while living the van life or stationary RV Living… Plus, the BIG reason why I started YouTube from the beginning!

Because if you don’t know my story, there is a REASON Why I started my YouTube channel and WHY I became an RVing entrepreneur! Wondering Why should I start a YouTube channel? Idk But this is WHY I did it as a female entrepreneur!

Why I Started a New YouTube Channel (Blogging Brandi Behind the Scenes)

Okay, so I wanted to talk about why I started a new YouTube channel—specifically—my Blogging Brandi YouTube channel.

And for anyone new here, just to reiterate: I have other YouTube channels. Mainly, my RVersity YouTube channel, where I share all about my RV life. I actually made a video recently about why I created my RVing YouTube channel (You can check those out after this).

But I really wanted to talk to you about why I created my new personal YouTube channel — because I actually have an existing channel that I haven’t posted on in YEARS! 🙈

Starting Over (Again)

Just for anyone that’s new here—or maybe just to remind myself—you’re not crazy. When I started my other YouTube channels… I didn’t know who I was. Or I started them for the wrong reasons.

I joined these groups to grow my YouTube channel, and I was focused on how do I get subscribers, how do I get views, how do I grow this channel—for the wrong reasons.

So I was just making random content. Like… I made a video about ranting and my tips for going to Vegas, and then I made some random RV videos.

But then someone was like, “Oh, you need to make more professional videos, you need to have a plan and strategy for how you do everything…” and they yelled at me about how I was doing it all wrong. So, they took my dreams and squashed them, and they made me delete all those RV videos off my old channel. 😭

Kind of a blessing in disguise though… because I ended up putting a lot of my RV stuff on my RVersity channel, where I only talk about RV life. And I also have a travel blog dedicated to all my travel guides, tips, tricks, tutorials, and more!

More Than RV Life

So I used to have a more personal channel—my Old Original FIRST Bloggin Brandi YouTube channel (B-L-O-G-G-I-N Brandi, not with a “G” on the end—and Brandi with an i, B-R-A-N-D-I).

I have hundreds of videos over there where I talked about things like email lists, creating websites, random advice—it’s probably a real look behind the scenes at who I was and who I wanted to be.

But then I STOPPED posting! I haven’t posted on that channel in YEARS!!!

My “WTH Lifestyle”

I was even watching one of my old intro videos (there were two of them!) and I’m like:

“Hey, what’s up? I’m Brandi—well, they call me Blogging Brandi, but we’ll talk about that later.

What do I do? I’m an entrepreneur living a lifestyle from practically anywhere in the world. I work, travel, hack. Most of the time you can find me in Atlanta, Vegas, or maybe on a beach somewhere in my RV.

I call it the WTH lifestyle… but it didn’t always used to be that way.”

I started out going to school, getting the corporate job, doing everything my parents wanted me to do. The only problem was—I was slaving to be like all these corporate Kool-Aid drinkers.

Then I had this aha moment and said: “You know what? This isn’t my story.”

The Turning Point

All those things I had been searching for—they were right in front of me all along. I just didn’t know it yet.

It really took a shift in my mindset to get on the right track—which is why you’re here, right? You’re looking for solutions to your problems, answers to your questions.

And trust me—I know you have questions. I’ve been there.

The good news is: I have answers. And I can walk you through every step of the way.

“I’m going to show you how to build your brand, promote your business, and make sure people can actually find you.”

It’s really not that hard—it just takes some hard work up front. That’s why I’m here.

The Secret Life of B

So yeah… that was my intro video — literally me saying, “Follow in my footsteps”—but I feel like I wasn’t even following them myself.

I got so involved in just RV life that I kind of forgot WHO I was. I stopped making content for that channel. I wasn’t sure what to make anymore.

So I want to say—I started my new channel out of a desire to share more of myself, to be more real with you.

Because I’m more than just my RV—I’m a boss and a business owner. We run companies. We have investment properties. We have two RVs. We travel in a van. There’s so much about me that I haven’t shared.

I almost call it “The Secret Life of B.”

Why I Created RVing for Bosses

At one point, I had my RVersity channel, my old Bloggin Brandi channel, and then another one—my BLABoss Branding and Business channel, which is all about business and branding.

Then I took some bad business advice:
“You just need to sell an online course… It has to be either business OR RV. It can’t be both.”

Which is why I created my online course for RVersity (my RV University) and the course I have called RVing for Bosses (for digital nomads and working-age RVers, not just retirees).

It’s really about how to brand yourself online. Not just RVing—but branding, business systems, email lists, websites, social media, branding bootcamp—you name it.

And yes, it takes you behind the scenes of how I built RVersity and Birdies Doghouse, my ONLINE business, and shows you how to do it for yourself.

From Healing to Creating

When I started my first YouTube channel… I was on an island. Weirdly, how I am now writing this to you—I’ve been here over 5 years now (stationary RV living…)

We had our motorhome here. I gave a tour of that setup (link below).

I also gave a “janky” behind-the-scenes tour of this trailer and my office setup—which I’ll update soon and post on RVersity.

But yeah—it was all kind of secret. A lot of people haven’t seen it unless they follow me on email or social media.

The Real Reason I Started

Truth is—I started this YouTube channel while I was healing. I didn’t quit my job to RV. I quit my job to start a business. RV life just came as part of my healing journey.

And I haven’t really told the whole story…
I was on this island, going through a tragedy. I lost my child.

I had an abortion.

It’s hard to even say out loud.

I wish I had started this YouTube channel to share that story. But instead, I hired a website developer on Fiverr. He was dragging his feet. I was panicking. Then he starts telling me his sister’s having a baby, and I’m sitting here grieving mine.

I snapped.

I didn’t care about his sister’s baby. I was trying to heal.

And it wasn’t until I said that I wanted to start Blogging about this tragedy I was going through that someone made fun of me saying, “what are you going to be Blogging Brandi” But it stuck—and I used it.

It Was Supposed to Be a Blog

I was telling that same guy I needed my blog, and he goes,
“Have you ever thought about starting a YouTube channel instead?”

And I was like… “Huh. Yeah. I’d probably be good at that.”

So I started my first channel—not because I planned to, but because my website wasn’t getting built.

Random Content, Real Growth

At first, I didn’t know what I was creating. I found some YouTuber (not naming names) who talked about how to start a YouTube channel… so I did.

And I made random videos—Vegas tips, RVing, blog stuff, social media rants, helicopter rides. Total randomness.

I did make valuable content—but I wanted a place for everything that didn’t fit elsewhere.

My RV life went to one channel. My business stuff went to another. My old blog channel was just a big mix.

A Shower with 100,000 Strangers 😳

Early on, I didn’t understand SEO. I accidentally attracted the wrong audience.

Case in point?
Over 100,000 people have taken a shower with me in my RV van. 😂

(I made a video series about how I eat, sleep, and shower in my RV van—and yeah, the views came… with weird people.)

Lifestyle > Vacation

I’m not just about retiring and traveling. This is a lifestyle.

I talk about making money AND traveling. That doesn’t mean it has to be online—but I do sell physical and digital products. Like our Energy Patch, which you can check out online.

I’m also working on rebuilding a lot of my products. Like I said in another video—everything broke. I’m rebuilding and REBRANDING!

But YouTube is how I connect with you. It’s not just to sell—it’s to share. To talk. To be human.

This Channel = Whatever I Want

So yeah… my new YouTube channel?

I started it because I didn’t know what I was doing before. And I had content that didn’t belong anywhere else.

This is the behind-the-scenes of Blogging Brandi. Kind of like whatever I want to post.
