Massage Must-Haves for Relaxation, Anxiety & Stress Relief

Massage Must-Haves for Relaxation, Anxiety, and Stress Relief (when you need a little quiet time). If you’re anything like me, you love a good massage — but not always the price tag or the effort it takes to book one. Over the years, I’ve built up quite the collection of massage and relaxation gadgets. Some were gifts, some just showed up in the mail (don’t ask 😂), but every single one helps me unwind, de-stress, and sneak in a little “me time” — without stepping foot in a spa.

These massage must-haves are perfect for:

  • Relieving body aches and tension
  • Easing anxiety and stress
  • Creating a quiet, cozy, spa-like environment at home

Whether you’re looking to treat yourself, find the perfect self-care gift, or just save money on spa visits, here’s my list of favorite massage and relaxation essentials.

Side Note: One other thing I’d like to mention, since most people know me for my minimalist and digital nomadic lifestyle, is that most of the items on this list are space-saving, portable, and collapse for storage or travel.

💆‍♀️ Massage Essentials for Every Body Part

For the Back + Shoulders

  • Massaging Office Chair aka “Chill Chair” – My go-to spot to unwind. (with Butt Vibrator)
  • *Back Massager – The ultimate relief after long days or travel.
  • Seat Massager with Heat – Great for the car or home office.

Massaging Office “Chill Chair”

You can get this Chill Chair – Deep Tissue Massage Office Chair – Elegant, Reclining Office Chairs to Boost Comfort & Productivity on Amazon (or their website)

Chirp Back Massager

This is officially called the “Chirp Contour — Decompression & Massage Table

True Story: NVington got this as a way to get out of giving manual hand massages! 😱

But, I’m not gonna lie, our Chirp back massager has come in handy! I can lie there for hours getting massages — although I do wish it was FULL BODY — if you know what I mean! It covers the back, shoulders, and some neck too.

But we got it to be compact, take it with us, and save space as well.

For Hands + Feet

Hand Massager

This AERLANG Hand Massager is the perfect Christmas Gift for Women or Men.

TRUE STORY: I bought this Hand Massage Machine with Heat and compression for NVington to make sure his hands didn’t get tired after complaining about giving manual hand massages. 💆‍♀️

But this Electric Hand Massager is great for anyone typing all day or dealing with arthritis and Carpal Tunnel. Also great that it’s a Rechargeable and Cordless massager.

Foot Massager

We actually bought 4 of these Sole Mate Ottoman Foot Massagers (2 to keep + 2 to give as gifts). It vibrates, compresses, and heats — perfect for those achy, tired, sore feet! You can get this on Amazon or their website — the same makers as our “Chill Chair.”

Baby Foot

Weird but wonderful, the name “Baby Foot” says it all. This at-home foot peel literally sheds layers of dead skin to give you baby-soft feet. It’s an at-home spa treatment for your feet, that actually takes 2 weeks to fully complete, and your feet might look a little scary in between, but once you do your feet with look like BABY FEET too! Use this to keep those feet happy and soft.

Knee Massager

I bet you DO NOT have one of these next items on my list of massage must-haves: meet your new bestie for your knees = YES, it’s a Knee Massager for Pain Relief! This Knee Massager comes with Heat and Red Light Therapy. It’s a 5 in 1 Pain Relief Product with Heating, Red Light, Compression, and Vibration Therapy…

For Head + Face

  • Head Massager (x2) – The “tingly” stress-buster you didn’t know you needed.
  • *Eye Massager – Helps with eye strain and sleep. (headaches too)
  • *Facial Massager – My latest addition to the skincare routine.

Head Massager

This Head Massager is a 360° All-Round Electric Scalp Massager for Headaches, Migraines, and is for Stress relief. Love that it’s rechargeable, Wireless, and Hands-Free. So if you’re looking for a Head and Temple Massage Tool, this one comes with 5 Modes and 20 Massage Heads plus Smart Timing.

Eye Massager

I love this Eye Massager — it helps with eye strain, sleep, and headaches too. I love that it’s rechargeable, has heat, and soothing music too. I will sometimes sit through a session or TWO!

Shark Facial Spa

I’ve only used this Shark Facial Pro Glow Spa Skincare Device once so far, as it’s meant for once-a-week facial at home use. But after the first session, I’ll say it was refreshing. It’s a timed 9-minute spa facial machine; all you have to do is change out the head and add liquid in between. But it walks you through the entire process.

For the Whole Body

Massage Table (Portable)

YES, we have a portable Massage Table that started out in our living room, and I migrated it to the bedroom. It was originally for our other machines, but it comes in handy for multiple things — Great if you do couples massages or self-care days.

Chirp 3-in-1 Muscle Roller

NVington told me he had to cash out credit card points, and they allowed him to choose from a website called “The Feed” — I think it was the story. Otherwise, I have no idea why we ended up with this Chirp 3-in-1 Muscle Roller, but just another item to add to the list of massage items we use.

You can get this “Chirp 3-in-1 Muscle Roller – Customizable Recovery Massager for Targeted Deep Tissue Massage, Pressure Point Relief for Back and Legs, Durable Foam Roller Supports up to 500 lbs, 4 x 4 x 24 inches” on Amazon

Manual Massage Tools

Got these as a pack of 3 Manual Massage Tools for Full Body Deep Tissue Massage without hurting your hands! These are Budget-friendly, travel-sized, and powerful.

Get these Manual Trigger Point Massage Tools and Thumb Saver on Amazon!

Massage Oil + Roller Ball

Got this Cosmetasa Sore Muscle Massage Oil for Massage Therapy with Roller on Amazon! It’s an All Natural, Cruelty-Free Massage Oil for Muscle Relaxing & Joint Comfort. It’s Arnica Extract with Lavender & Chamomile Oil – Simple tools, big difference.

Indoor Sauna (Portable)

I’ve been remodeling the bar area and have finally assembled the indoor sauna. YES, we have a Sauna in our living room. Since we don’t drink, we decided to re-utilize the bar space!

>> Find this “Infrared Sauna Box, Portable Steam Sauna Tent with 3L/1400W Steamer, 5-Layer Waterproof and Thermal Insulation, Folding Chair, for Home Steam Spa, Indoor & Outdoor(Black)” on Amazon.

✅ Tens Unit – TENS pain relief devices provide controlled electrical stimulation to help alleviate back pain, neck pain, and other muscle aches.

🧘‍♀️ Create a Relaxing, Quiet Environment

Massage isn’t just about the Must-Have Tools — it’s about the mood. Here’s how I turn any space into a personal spa or quiet zone:

Sound + Silence:

  • Loop Ear Plugs – Block noise, not your peace.
  • Sound Machine – Ocean waves, rain, or white noise for calm vibes.
  • Fans – Double as white noise and keep the air cool.

Comfort + Calm:

And of course — no TV, no loud noise, no bass. Just quiet.

🧡 Final Thoughts

Whether you’re an introvert who craves calm or just someone who wants to ease those daily aches, these massage must-haves help you relax your body and reset your mind — without spending hundreds on spa appointments.

Take it from someone who’s been collecting these for a while: once you start building your own “home spa,” you’ll wonder how you ever lived without it.
