My Favorite Home Finds (Inside & Out): From Essentials to Must-Haves
Looking for the best home finds and everyday home essentials? In this post, I’m sharing my favorite indoor and outdoor items that make life easier, more organized, and a lot more enjoyable. This is a running list I’ll keep updating as I test new products and find things that actually help in real life. Whether you’re decorating, simplifying, or just upgrading your space, these are the home essentials worth having.

I have to admit several of these were gifts from NVington, and I’m in LOVE with them!
Scents & Smells
BIG Ass Candle
NVington got us a BIG Ass Candle for the house, it’s supposed to burn for some obscene amount of time = 1,000 hours. It’s the “Jazz Lounge” scent, and he got the lighter with it — which I’ll say lasts about as long as the candle, depending on how often you light it.
Vacation Candles, Perfumes, and Scents… (“Royal Pine Deluxe”)
For Christmas, I got a BOX FULL OF Candles, Perfumes, Lotion, and more, all Scents by Vacation, which are typically all scents of sunscreen, tennis balls, Sandy Beaches, etc… BUT this one was the Vacation “Royal Pine Deluxe” Candle, and it was very POWERFUL when lit, extremely fragrant, aka High Quality!
Custom Cut Out Air Freshener (of my dog for the car)
I wanted to list this here since it’s a scent too, but it’s more for your car than your room. The other favorite item I received was by Dangle It, a Custom Cut Out Car Air Freshener of my Dog “Birdie“ — OMG TOO CUTE I LOVE IT! I haven’t even opened it yet, but it’s “island breeze” scent, so I’m excited! I’ll be adding it to the Dog’s Favorites list over at the Birdies Doghouse SHOP!
Oversized Blankets, Hoodies & Robes
🚨 We also got some new items from the BIG Blanket Co (Blankets, Oversized Hoodies & Robes) ⁉️
We’ve also recently discovered the BIG BLANKET CO (@BigBlanketCo) — their Big Blankets are 10 feet x 10 feet. That’s 100 square feet of unbelievable comfort. The best blanket you’ll own and the only blanket you’ll need. We bought 3 blankets, one for each RV and the other for the Condo in the City!
That’s the gamer blanket Lil Boy and NVington are lying on. Plus, they have BIG oversized wearable hoodies — we got a few of their Hideout hoodies to stay warm!
Mini Bar
I have to be honest, NVington has become a snack monster and eats a lot. All day and night! I think he probably gets up 2-3 times between 12-6am to eat randomly — but the problem is he eats EVERYTHING, and he wakes up the dogs every time (which wakes me up over and over again) 🤦♀️
So I came up with a solution to put a mini-fridge and snack bar in his bedroom, so he can eat all night long in his mancave without disturbing the peace in our household!
YES, we sleep in separate bedrooms — it works for us… 11 years and counting!
NOT only did I get him the mini fridge and candy/snack storage box container, but I also filled it with all his favorite snacks.
Thermal Mug (for hot or cold drinks)
Got a new Mug from Starbucks (and a few other Last Season Sale Cups). My Stainless steel thermal Mug is a game-changer to keep my coffee warm for HOURS!
Storage & Organization
Kitchen Cabinet Storage
One of my new favorite finds for the house, when it comes to staying organized, is for the pantry. I feel like it’s easier to know what all there is to eat when you can see everything. Plus, it lets you know if you’re running low and allows for portion control.
I noticed that when I just put a bag of cereal or snack mix in the cabinet, it tends to get eaten pretty quickly. Compared to if I portion out small, cute, organized sizes — they seem to stay full longer between refills.
I bought two sets of these food storage organizers for the pantry one for the RV and one for the condo.
Shoe Organizer
I was looking for something slim and space-saving that could fit a decent amount of shoes (including boots). So I found a solution on Amazon that also allowed me to zip everything up under a cover and hide them away.
The only drawback I will mention is the time it took me to put together this little slim shoe organizer with a cover, but at least you only have to do that part once.
Desk Organizer
I was in desperate need of something space-saving, both to reclaim my space and organize my home office desk (i.e., pencils, pens, note cards, scissors, folders, mail, etc.).
So I found a desktop file organizer solution on Amazon! It took me a few minutes to assemble, but after testing it out, I ended up giving one as a gift to NVington to organize his “home office space” too — aka the kitchen counter 😭 🤦♀️ 🙅♀️
Bathroom Counter Organizer
I actually bought this for NVington’s Birthday as a gift to remind him to keep the bathroom counter clean! He likes to use certain products daily, and it’s nice to be able to see everything. BUT I can’t stand having a bunch of bottles crowding up the countertop, so this little bathroom organizer for the countertop has been extremely helpful!
Hanging Organizer (for Purses, Hats, Dog Clothes)
I have a few of these hanging organizers with clips to hang things like dog clothes and NVington’s hat collection. BUT, these can be used for a variety of things i.e. Purses, etc…
Over The Door Hanging Organizer
I have a few of these Over The Door Hanging Organizers one at the condo another at the RV and another in storage. These are super easy to put together and fairly sturdy. I like that you can utilize the back of the door and vertical space.
Utility Cart (for Dog Grooming Accessories)
I found this little metal utility cart on Amazon that was perfect for my dog grooming accessories!
I bought one of these for each house!
Keep in mind this wasn’t specifically for dog grooming, you can use it for anything: cleaning, beauty, office, etc…
